SMS Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of www.localhousingresourcecenter.org and the informational support offered by Local Housing Resource Center ("LHRC," "we," "us," or "our"). By using this website or submitting a support request, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You can return to these SMS Terms of Service at any time.
1. About Local Housing Resource Center
LHRC is an independent nonprofit organization that provides general information, organizational support, and resource referrals to property owners and heirs. We are not a government agency, law firm, lender, tax advisor, financial advisor, title company, or real estate brokerage.
2. Informational Support Only
- Information from LHRC is general educational information and is not legal, tax, lending, or financial advice.
- Submitting a form or communicating with us does not create an attorney-client, advisor-client, fiduciary, agency, or other professional relationship.
- We do not guarantee outcomes, eligibility for any program, or action by any public agency or professional.
- You remain responsible for confirming information with the issuing agency and obtaining advice from appropriately licensed professionals.
- Submitting a support request does not pause, extend, appeal, or otherwise affect a deadline stated in a notice.
3. Support Requests
You agree that information you submit will be accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you will not submit Social Security numbers, full bank account numbers, passwords, or other unnecessary highly sensitive information. We may decline or stop assisting with any request that appears unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or outside our mission.
4. SMS Messaging Program
Our website form offers a separate, optional SMS consent checkbox. If you check it, you agree to receive informational text messages from Local Housing Resource Center at the mobile number you provided about your support request, appointment scheduling, and requested resource updates.
- Consent is optional and is not a condition of receiving services.
- Message frequency varies, usually no more than 6 messages per month.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out. We may send one final confirmation message.
- Reply HELP for help, call (980) 368-5177, or email LocalHousingResourceCenter@gmail.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Supported carriers and message delivery may vary by device, location, and wireless provider.
Your mobile phone number, SMS consent, and messaging opt-in data will not be sold, rented, shared, or transferred to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.
5. Consent and Revocation
The SMS checkbox is unchecked by default. You may submit the primary support form without selecting it. Consent applies only to informational messages from LHRC about the topics described above. You may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP. After you opt out, you must provide new consent before receiving additional ongoing SMS messages.
6. External Resources
We may identify websites, agencies, or professionals that could be relevant to your request. A reference is not a guarantee, endorsement, or warranty. Third parties control their own services, information, terms, and privacy practices.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not misuse this website, interfere with its operation, submit unlawful or fraudulent content, attempt unauthorized access, or use automated means to overwhelm the site or its forms.
8. Website Availability and Disclaimer
The website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, LHRC disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LHRC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website, reliance on general information, delayed messages, or third-party resources.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the website must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Nevada, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will appear on this page with its effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
